HHGs made it!

Our household goods were delivered today! It didn't take them as long to unload (8 hours) as it did to load (12 hours). But it was a hot one today, 103!! They put all the beds back together and anything else they had taken apart as well. We also had them unpack the kitchen ( see picture below), all the wardrobe boxes, and the boxes with the wrapped picture frames. That eliminated the biggest boxes and the ones with the most paper.
So now the putting away and sorting begins!!

Today's the day!

The big moving truck is here! They packed the boxes yesterday and today they are slooowly loading the truck. I can't blame them since it's raining and has been all day. I'm really hoping they can finish today since our power is being turned off between 4:30 and 8:30 this afternoon. That's about 3 hours from now!! I let them know so they could get the stuff out of the basement before they wont have any lights!!
Justin left this morning to go to KS. He will (hopefully) sign for a house Friday morning. Then we will camp in the house over the weekend and house stuff will be delivered Monday morning! Please pray that all goes well with traveling, our household goods, and getting a house.
I leave after the movers leave and miles and I will stop somewhere for the night and get to KS Friday night.

The kids are in NC so say hi to them for me!!

Hair!

So before we left for vacation our babysitter came over to dye Caroline's hair with kool-aid.  Caroline had been asking for a long time and I kept putting it off.  But as you can see from the picture below our babysitter was experienced in dying hair!
She dyed half purple and the other half red.

She was so excited!

Will got in on the action too!

The purple didn't work, only the red.  She LOVED it.  I found those purple boots on clearance and she loves them too!

After swimming in hotel pools and in the lake it has faded considerably and is hardly noticeable.
After doing it once I would do it again, she just loved it so much and it is pretty harmless.  Plus with it being summertime, why not try it?

On vacation

We left yesterday after Will's tball game and headed north to mackinac city. We made it a little after 6pm had dinner, walked around the little downtown area ( think king street in Boone) and the went to the hotel. I tried to put Eric down and Justin took the bigs to swim. They came back 2 minutes after I got Eric to stop crying.
We all went to bed at the same time since we were all in the same room.
We got up early trying to catch the 730 ferry ( missed it by 5 min). We rode our bikes around town waiting for the next ferry at 830. We made that one! We rode around the island on our bikes and enjoyed our morning. We tried to catch the noon ferry back but for some reason it didn't got at that time and we had to wait for the 1 pm one.
So right now we ate still driving and I'm blogging fromm phone. My kids aren't asleep despite the late hour fun times!
More later. I'm not sure whaty Internet is going to be at Bass lake in the middle of nowhere. I have most of the pictures from today on my camera so I'll get those uploaded later.

Schroeders visit

So our good friends (Christian, Rachel, Brandon, and Meredith) came to visit this weekend!  They came a little after lunch on Friday and left late afternoon Sunday.  Justin and Christian played golf twice, we went to the fountains, went to get ice cream, and just had fun hanging out.
I made sponge balls (pinterest idea!) for the kids to play in the water with.  Cut a new sponge length wise into 3 pieces, gather 6 pieces, and zip tie together.

He was taking a little break!

Christian is a pretty big German guy and the kids loved that he would though them in the air!

We all went to Will's t-ball game Saturday morning as well.
Eric and Caroline enjoying a better view!

Mid-spin!

Christian trying to hold 3 kids!

Entertainment during the game

Fun at the play ground Sunday morning before the slides got too hot.

So last monday Justin was given an award and a gift for his time at TACOM.  So it goes something like this.

Then Justin said a few things!

Then everyone that came files by to say good-bye, congrats, or glad to see you go (just-kidding). before getting cake!
There was lots of hand shaking and before getting any cake we went and washed our hands!!  It was nice to see all the people come out and show their support for Justin.  I'm proud of you Justin!!
