Bounce bounce

Eric loves to bounce!  Caroline and Will love it when he bounces.  He giggles and makes all kinds of happy noises.  I love the fact that I can put him in there while we eat, or I do the dishes, or cook  and he is good for at least 30 minutes if not more.





Eric also got his first tooth a week ago!  I couldn't believe at 5 1/2 months he got a tooth.  Last monday and Tuesday nights were just miserable and between Will (throat hurting) and Eric I saw EVERY single hour during those 2 nights!  Thankfully both are doing a little better, although they ganged up on me last night and were up at the same time.  Caroline came to Will's rescue since he woke her up crying/screaming for me and settled him down which gave me time to get Eric burped and back in bed before dealing with Will.  And after the cranky day Eric is having today I won't be surprised if the other little bottom tooth comes on through.  I called Eric cranky pants this morning and Will suggested we take his cranky pants off!!!  He cracks me up!

We had a great Easter!  Here are some pictures I took.  We have had a lot going on this past week and I will try to get to it tomorrow. Promise!

Dying eggs

Earlier this week the kids and I dyed eggs.  Not really sure why I let them do this in their WHITE school uniform shirts.  Oh well they did great and the shirts are fine!  They had a blast.  Me, I only had minor heart attacks.  My brain must have left with the wonderful weather we had today because we dyed eggs again today!  I think they would dye eggs every day if I let them.  This type of things is Justin's forte.  I just take the pictures and he handles the craziness.  I love him for that.  He told me he would have dyed eggs on Monday night (when he would have had all 3 by himself!!) while I was at bible study.

Will's class had an Easter show on Wednesday.  Eric and I enjoyed the songs and I enjoyed the cookies!

So Caroline might not be Mary Lou material but she just might be on the way to becoming Natalie Coughlin!  She and Will are taking swim lessons again and having a really great time being in the same class together.  I took some videos of them swimming Monday afternoon.

Sugga Bugga

So the newness of having a baby in the house has still not worn off!!  They both ask to hold Eric multiple times a day.  Sometimes even trying to take him out of my arms!  They love to make him smile and laugh.  Will has figured out that Eric startles easily and that makes Will laugh! 

Yesterday I was making diner and Eric was sitting in his swing on the counter.  HE was fussing and crying.  I couldn't pick him up since I was cutting a cantaloup.  So I call Will and ask him to get up on the counter and entertain Eric for me.  He gladly obliged since it got him out of picking up!  The minute he got up there Eric started smiling and laughing.  The change was instant!!  I love how easy that works.  And thank goodness Will LOVES his little brother!  So much so that after dinner while I was doing dishes WIll decided to do some more entertaining.  I was overhearing the two of them and reminding Will to be gentle. He told me he was and I snuck in to get some video of them laughing together.  The video is a little long but cute.

Dared to Detroit!

So a few weeks ago a friend went with the kids and I into Detroit.  I had not been into Detroit except 1 other time and was somewhat frightened about going.  You hear so many bad things about Detroit and not knowing where I was going it was nice to have someone who knew where to go with me!  We went to the science museum to see the dinosaurs and then drove around the city to see some of the sights.  We also stopped and went in the Guardian building.  You can check out more info about the Guardian building here.

We also went to Mexicantown in Detroit and ate at an awesome Mexican restaurant.  We got out of the car and as we were walking to the restaurant you could hear all kinds of latin music and Will and Caroline both started bopping their heads to the music!

Buddies?

So a few Christmas' ago my cousin Laura got these big stuffed dogs for my kids.  Caroline and Will sleep with them every night and even practice being vets on them!  The will take the collar off Miles and put it on their dog and get a leash and "walk" their stuffed dogs around the house.  But the other day I came out of the kitchen and saw Miles cuddled up next to Caroline's dog!  It was so cute!!  Miles will have to make do with that as a buddy for now.  We aren't getting another cat anytime soon!!

Grandma's visit

So last Thursday grandma came into town!!  But it has been CRAZY since then.  Poor grandma got the full on crazy Redfern house!  Sunday Will woke up with a stuffy nose and Monday morning he woke up with red red eyes that were producing green gunk by lunch.  So to the doctor we went, Grandma stayed home with Eric, and it turned out Will had an eye and ear infection!!  Poor guy.  Then we went to Whole Foods to find food that Will can eat.  Very successful trip by the way!  Then to the Walgreens to get his medicines.  Caroline woke up with a crusted shut red eye Tuesday morning!  So they are both getting eye drops.  After taking Will to school Tuesday morning Caroline and I headed to the commissary for our monthly shopping trip.  Then today Caroline has been complaining that her throat hurts and has a fever.  Then this afternoon grandma started feeling bad!!  Not only does she come and clean, do dishes, watch the kids, read a million stories, cuddle sick kids, fold loads and loads of laundry but now she is headed home tomorrow SICK!!  Sorry Grandpa!!

Finally!!

Her tooth finally came out last Sunday.  If you were there at the Crissman family Christmas you might remember her telling everyone that her tooth was loose.  It only took 3 months for the thing to finally get loose enough to fall out!  She also got her hair cut too.  The other front tooth is now sitting so very crooked and almost ready to come out too.  MAybe this week the tooth fairy will have to remember to come again.
Oh and the kids decided that there is a girl tooth fairy for the girls and a boy fairy for the boys.  Makes sense to me!
