Videos

So the past few days the kids have really been enjoying the bounce house and called me over to show me some of the tricks they have been working on.  I really had no clue that they had brought down all the blankets and stuffed animals from their beds!  Then they propped up side of the bounce house with their chairs and would jump from the high side.  Will doesn't quiet make it over in the video but the first one he showed me before I grabbed the camera he made it all the way over onto his stomach!  no hands, just his head.

Here is a video of Will on the bunny slope.  Notice how he can't wedge to stop or turn.  Should have been my first clue.  After lessons I took  Will on the chair lift to the easy run that Caroline had been doing in her class.  I also had an 8 yo from our church with me.  So the 3 of us went up and I let Will go and he would point his skis down the hill and go for a little ways then fall.  Erin was doing pretty well and I only had to help her once or twice.  The second time we went up I let Will go again thinking it would be like the first trip down (lots of falls).  But I was wrong!  Apparently the first run was a warm up run.  He set his skis, put his arms out in front of him, bent his knees a little and went.  He still can't turn or stop.  He takes a wide sweeping right turn narrowly missing the trees.  Keeps gaining speed and while  I'm yelling for him to fall down, turn, do something he barely misses a pack of snowboarders and a big red snow maker machine!  I have to stop to help Erin put her ski back on twice and now Will has dropped out of my sight.  Erin and I finally make it over the little crest and see Will standing at the bottom.  When I get closer I see that he has one ski on one off and his helmet is dangling around his neck.  I get closer to him and ask if he is OK and his reply? "Mom, I was flyin and I wiped out!"  No kidding.  He asked immediately if we could do it again.  I told him no he couldn't do that again.  He wanted to know why and I told he before he goes down again by himself he has to know how to turn and stop.  HE didn't see the point in doing either of those things!  Needless to say he had a blast!

We went skiing!

Today our church had a group of people going skiing. So we went too!!  One of our good friends here wasn't going to ski so she volunteered to watch Eric for me.  So after gymnastics this morning we drove the 45 minutes to a local ski hill.  Can't call it a mountain in MI!!  Espically with the vertical feet at 350!! Caroline and WIll both took a lesson adn then I skied with Will after.
Struggling with the magic carpet.

He has great balance but can't stop or turn!  Who needs to do those things!

Caroline with her friend Erin

Caroline got to go up the lift this time.  She loved it!!

More later! Eric just woke up!!

Nana's visit

Last week my mom was here!!  We all enjoyed having Nana here and were so sad to see her leave.  She however might have been ready to leave cold snowy MI.  It snowed some part of everyday she was here.  Today was the first day in many many days we had a temp above freezing (but it rained!).
I'm just glad January is close to being over since that means spring is that much closer to getting here!!

Watch me grow

Leaving the hospital

One month

two months
At his 2 month appointment he weighed 12 lbs 12 oz (75%) and was 23.5 in long (72%).  He is making all kinds of cooing noises these days and loves to smile at people.  He also is trying to pick his head up when he is in his car seat and if reclining in your arms will throw himself forward to sit upright.
Will and Caroline still love to hold him (thank goodness) and Will gives a kiss to "chubby cheeks" every night before going to bed!

Lots of change

So a lot has happened since my last post.  Too much to really think enough about to write about it (basically I'm being lazy right now and don't want to cry the whole time I write!).  But here are some pictures.
Will helping Justin shovel some of the snow we had before he left.  This week we have had snow everyday and have about 6 inches on the ground right now.  And with temps to reach a high of 11 next week it isn't going anywhere.

Miles tree'd the squirrel and then Justin shot it.

After breakfast the morning he left for Georgia.

The kids with their daddy dolls.  They really love them if you can't tell!!

Justin called me this morning  and he was in Kuwait.  I don't know when he will make it the rest of the way.

Eric's baptism

The day after our big family gathering pretty much all of the family came to see Eric being baptized.  We were so thrilled that family still wanted to come and hang out even though we spent the day before together.  I love my family for that.

We were also blessed that my Aunt Beth and Uncle Kelly were there to baptise Eric.  They have been such an important part of our lives.  They married us 10.5 years ago and have baptized all 3 kids!!

Crissman family Christmas

It has been a few years since I have been able to make it to a CFC.  After attending this year I realized just how much I really miss going and seeing all the family.  Baby Eric and I flew to Raleigh a few days early so I could visit with my cousin Laura and her family.  And boy did her kids, especially Isaac, LOVE Ewic.

It was great to just pick up right where we left off, like we haven't really been apart for years and years.

Then Saturday the rest of the family started coming.  And boy did they!  39 total and it was great.

We had a wonderful afternoon of eating, opening gifts, and talking.  The kids had fun playing with their cousins and all were exhausted at the end of the night.

I sure do love being surrounded by my family!

I finally uploaded pictures from my camera and phone tonight so i can blog again!  Happy new year
